Chef Helen
The love of cooking started at a young age for Helen. Her grandparents being from Lithuania shared their culinary traditions ranging in many special dishes, which still inspire Helen. Along with her siblings her mother encouraged weekly cooking and baking starting from a young age. This really gave the opportunity to grow in the kitchen and experiment without pressure, maintaining the fun. Helen was always intrigued with making food from scratch and experimenting to find new flavors and ideas. After high school Helen started as a household manager and worked with many clients in food preparation and baking in addition to household management. She later finished her certification as a postpartum doula and worked with postpartum mothers providing healthy dishes to promote healing during their postpartum recovery. Struggling with food sensitivities and health herself, Helen has from a young age been interested in nutrition and food from a healing perspective. Learning about food and how to prepare food in ways that will heal the body, but also learning how to make healthy food taste great. Recently she has started to dabble in holistic centered pastry work and food styling. Helen started working for Happy Belly in October of 2024. She loves their mission in providing healthy, nourishing food for clients and is happy to be a part of a business that she believes in. She loves to make food that is beautiful, but also delicious and is excited for what opportunities lie ahead.
